Working for yourself!

There are 5 key factors you should consider if you are thinking of working for yourself.

1. Being the boss and employee
When initially getting started in Business you are both and have to ack accordingly if things are to go smoothly. So setting your own schedules and  meeting those deadlines while self exerting pressure onto yourself. Some traditional jobs give people insight on these things because people tend to work around a goal. A job in sales would be a good example, you have a quota for the month, or quarter that you have to make and your boss usually stays on top of you to make sure you make it. This is very important when deciding to work for yourself because getting off track can hurt your business.
Check out my blog on to do list vs Habits. It will go into detail a bit more for this section and others below

2. You are everything
Unless you have funds to hire tons of people once the business starts up you are front runner and will take on every role the company needs. Image result for a lot to do You are customer service, HR, Marketing, accountant, etc. It may sound overwhelming and It is at first but you know its time to hire once business is booming and you have more than you can handle. Which is a good thing but when you first start, a vision board, and a big calendar can go a long way. Managing time and staying on track will help in the long run and keep you sane

3. Your time doesn't belong to you.
The worst thing you could do is have a horrible work life balance. You may feel like there isn't nough time in the day! When initially setting up the company you should set a firm work hour schedule. Now granted depending on the type of industry you have chose to invest in will ultimately determine how this plays out , having a firm understanding and mental awareness of this challenge will keep you prepared and ready. Understanding what it takes makes things a lot easier even if they may seem stressful, and it can be if you are a one man team taking calls at all hours of the night. Learning to let your phone go to voicemail can help you breathe a little better. Block off some hours in your day to mentally recover and prepare yourself, outside of sleep.Image result for out of time

4. People don't care unless it directly benefits them.
Most of the time people like experience and reassurance, especially those close to you. Many will support you and cheer you on but when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is you might as well call them silent. The Majority of people that are around you will look for a way to help if they can while still looking for a benefit themselves. Its just nature. Those people around you that have been there with you from the start, will give you support but unless you have them onboard as a partner don't rely on their words because once you work for yourself words don't pay bills. Referrals are a businesses best friend, they are a vote of confidence and reassurance. Always ask for those and never take them lightly they aren't the easiest to come around.

5. Failure is apart of the process
One thing most people hate feeling is stupid. And this is a feeling or expression we may tell ourselves when we enter a new experience without much knowledge of how to handle possible oncoming situations or problems. Some of the best teachers/educators in history are the one's who failed time and time again, just remember that. The first one is going to come and once it is gone just take something away from that and learn from it. Biggest and best thing you can do is learn from your mistakes and grow from it.Image result for failure
