Networking
People are the most important part of our world. As I learn more and more about business I learn the importance of people and the position some people put themselves in to manage and interact with people.

Everyday the is a new meeting or social gathering of some sort to bring people together. These are meant to keep the communities informed of who is around, what is going on, and where it is happening. This can also be a means to expand a market or just to make friends. Whatever the intention is it works. Now this could be beneficial to you if you find yourself to be a people person and do well with others. For someone a little more reserved it can be a challenge finding the energy to go to one of these events. I myself used to consider myself very social and working well with others but as time progressed I started finding a sort of peace in my solitude away from the world. Not to say I am in a dungeon void of all light but that I am selective of who I spend my time with and how I spend it. I am a big avocat of the 5 main points of well being in today's society which I identify as physical health, mental health, emotional health, spiritual health, and financial health. Every day if I choose to do an activity I weigh the pros and cons in those 5 areas and if the pros don't outweigh the cons well its no longer in my thought process.
I don't always see the benefit in specific meetings or gatherings, from my experience at the end of them there is usually a product or service involved, maybe even a donation requested. As for the honest events those find somebody in a room and have a conversation with events don't really jive with me. There are gems amongst us, and I know this but the mass majority overshadow them immensely.
I choose to network a little different, I prefer more of a personal ouch maybe like a one on one sit down for coffee or lunch something light hearted and relaxing. This is how I have made my connections in the last 2 years. It has worked so far and the quality is well spent because I can devote all my energy into the one conversation. Finding these people can vary and how you choose to search can be easier.
Moral of the story is Networking is very important in almost every aspect of our lives. Finding a good way to network that fits you can be very rewarding. Nevertheless a comfort zone is a great place to be but nothing ever grows there.
