The path to getting started in Real Estate

Before I put my full efforts into Real Estate I had dreamed of being in marketing. I find it funny how I landed here because a big part of getting my brand and business started has to do with how I market. But I wasn't to surprised because marketing is a part of all businesses. 

This is for all business owners out there some tips I learned and for those inquiring about becoming business owners. If you are going in it by yourself there are some things you should know. Setting up a business is much and I mean MUCH easier than I thought it would be. It literally took about 7 and a half minutes to do and then I waited for the State of MD to get back to me. I am not to sure how setting up a business works in other states or countries. But in Maryland, USA all I had to do was go to the state department of assessment and taxation aka SDAT and register my business, find a name that wasn't taken and get the information in (choosing the type of legal entity is important make sure you do research to find out how you want to setup yours). Once the business was setup next was the business systems and bank accounts and all that good stuff. Banks just needed supporting documents from the state. Then next was supplies and marketing.

Now for Real Estate main things that still work are those bandit signs and direct mail. I also incorporated social media and this blog here obviously. One challenge I found with social media is that it is so full of Everything that standing out in the crowd is difficult but still an achievable task. Just got to find your niche. I found my passion through these blogs of information. Now I always find it interesting how I never see things until I learn about them in more depth. I come across so many scams and fakes/frauds online and over the phone I just don't believe most things anymore tbh.

So once I learned what some of those creative marketing tactics were I had to think, well if I thought it was a fraud most likely so did someone else, so I have to present it in a more friendly and believable manner. So I had to get to the lab to cook up some good ideas.

Now marketing is all I do. Its probably 75% of my business(for now). Which I like don't get me wrong but getting started is always interesting. One thing I thought that would be helpful was a website! My Website Which I have as a gateway to help people understand how the process works once they signup and give some education. But man is website management a job in itself.

The real thing I have come to learn is that I left my 9-5 job and hired myself for 5-7 other jobs

marketing, management, customer service, deal closer, financial management, and more. I started thinking man what was I thinking. 

The moral of the story is that getting started was easy and dreaming is easy, but doing is a different ball game. And in order to get better I have to deconstruct all the normal ideas of success and reform a new way of thinking in order to navigate through this world on a different vibration.
